Visiting Reconciliation Anglican Church?

What to Expect

Welcome to Reconciliation Anglican Church! As a new, dynamic, and vibrant community, we are excited to be starting this journey with you. We recognize that coming into a new place can be difficult, particularly if you are not familiar with our style of worship, or have had bad experiences with churches in the past. We strive to be a community that is warm, welcoming, inclusive, and hospitable to all, regardless of your background, situation, lifestyle, or beliefs.

Here is what you can expect when you visit us for the first time:

  • Arriving

When you arrive, you will be greeted by one of our friendly members who will be happy to answer any questions you may have and help you find your way around. We gather in a small but welcoming worship space in the Fellowship and Education wing of First Baptist Church. Look for the signs!

  • Our Worship

Our services typically last about an hour and include a mix of contemporary and traditional music, prayers, and a sermon. We are a liturgical church, and we follow the order of the service from the Book of Common Prayer 2019. However, following our inheritance in the East African Revival, our approach to the liturgy is energetic, playful and light-hearted.

  • Afterwards

After the service, we invite you to stay for fellowship and refreshments. This is a great opportunity to get to know our members and learn more about our church. You can also find out more about our various ministries and get involved in the life of the church.

At Reconciliation Anglican Church, we are dedicated to being a community gathered around the proclamation of the Gospel in Word and Sacrament, and woven together by ancient and global spiritual practices that make this commitment a priority in our daily lives and rhythm. Knowing that we are reconciled to God in Christ, we are also committed to being a reconciling community, striving to bring peace and unity in all of our relationships.

We hope that you will join us for worship and become a part of the Reconciliation Anglican Church community. We look forward to getting to know you and sharing in the journey of life and faith together.
